I’m picturing a descendant of Bernard the beat poet making his or her own poetic contribution to the X-mythos. Feeling a certain tug towards these mutants, a tug they don’t understand, wanting to express the tragedy of what these sentinels have done, and only putting the mutants in there because it’s the mutant “problem” that had the sentinels rise in the first place, and having pictures of the mutants still alive puts this little ray of hope in a dark world while memorializing some of its tragedies. Maybe it’s even a Pheonix reference.. I assume if the sentinels start massacring mutants the Pheonix’d make its presence known in some historic way.
People just LIKE Cannonball in goggles, even in dark futures.
