  1. With the description of Random’s relationship to X-Factor, it comes across like he’s very Tsundere to the team (and now I’m imagining Rie Kugimiya or Kana Ueda voicing a gender-swapped version of the character in an anime).

Also, it looks like they’re using the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure rules of villain establishment with the re-introduction of Malice (when in doubt – have a villain kill a dog in order to strip them of all sympathy).

(Man, can you imagine a X-Men/JoJo crossover with Sinister taking an interest in the Joestar family tree. He could be set up to have been there from the *beginning* – as in Phantom Blood!)

Also, Maalex is like the opposite of Maalox (they *give* you heartburn). Further, it bears repeating that I cannot, and will not ever hear or see Sinister’s Nasty Boys without thinking that he’s also going to bring Brian Knobbs and Jerry Saggs out to fight (and also, Mister Sinister would be a great Pro Wrestling Manager – in case you need an alternative for Sexy Whatever for Patreon Backers).

  2. FURBALL SPECIAL you guys. It rolls off the tongue and more closely resembles the name of the Piotr/Logan maneuver. It’s ALMOST “Hairball Special,” but it’s cuter and, well, we like Rahne. Feral, on the other hand, is just Great Value Wolfsbane.

    1. Furball special would have been my choice too! 🙂

I’d also have considerd either “Dog Ball!” or “Howl Ball!” depending on hadly you want to stretch a pun

  3. Does anyone know about how far in advance of publication these comics in the X-line were being written and drawn in the mid-90s? One thing I want to track is whether or not the November 1994 election makes any visible impact on the X-books (especially in Lobdell’s work), and our hosts will probably at some time in the next few weeks be passing the point at which the books were being created after that.
