One of the best issues of X-Men EVER. I STILL have my copy of X-Men#30! The scene of Jean telekinetically lifting Prof X to dance with her gets me every time!
I really love this issue of X-men, and the podcast. Honestly, this is a personal question, so please feel free to ignore it if it makes you uncomfortable. When you first recorded the wedding issue, you were both married to each other and this issue was a big part of your ceremony. Now, these many years, and many changes later, I’m curious if you feel any particular aspect of your appreciation of this comic has changed? Are there elements of Scott and Jean’s wedding or their relationship that now come across more strongly.
Personally, there are several arcs of X-men, especially LifeDeath, that read very differently to me depending on my life-circumstances at the moment. Again, if you feel comfortable and interesting, would welcome your thoughts. If not, please keep up the good work.
“Lighten up” is still one of my all time favourite X-moments. Plus, it’s kind of a relief to see that Xavier can actually laugh at himself.
Are there consent issues with teleporting? It seems there would be if you moved a person around a room in any other way.
