You asked if any of us knew of any kids who Wolverine mentors that aren’t girls. I think Cannonball, who you mentioned, is a good call. There’s also Elixir who tags along with him in his solo for a bit. In the books you’re reading right now, it’s short lived because of how quickly he’s written out but I’d argue Logan and Maggott really started to go that way after Logan failed to connect to Marrow before Japheth leaves. Logan seemed to genuinely start like Japheth who, in turn, was always a little concerned for Logan’s wellbeing. Maybe it’s why he and Laura end up being such good buds later.
