Logan just straight-up has a mane in this timeline. (Weapon X #1)
Seriously, this has to be the worst mode of transportation. (Weapon X #1)

NEVER NOT FUNNY. (Weapon X #1)

Seriously, if it weren’t for that damn pose, this page would be SO cool. (Weapon X #1)
To his credit, I’d be pretty nonplussed if this fell through my ceiling. (Weapon X #2)
The setup… (Weapon X #2)
…and the punchline. (Weapon X #2)
I see what you did, there. (Weapon X #3)
She doesn’t seem to have a sash, so I’m just going to go ahead and assume that Carol-295 just carries rhythmic gymnastic ribbons to make her leaps look more dramatic. (Weapon X #3)
This version of Gateway is really cool, and deserves both more page space and more analysis than he gets. (Weapon X #3)
CAROL FOREVER. (Weapon X #3)

Perhaps Magma’s pose was intended to be straight-facing. If we’re feeling charitable, it could be the fault of the inker? Magma’s silhouette could certainly be read that way. Since her feet aren’t drawn, the only thing that suggests contortion are a few interior lines. No, actually her hip bone, too, but could be a misinterpretation.
I can’t believe I finally got to this episode! I’ve been binging the podcast all the way through starting in December, and now I’m caught up!
From what I remember of the Weapon X section of AoA, it was more of the same of Hama and Kubert’s “Take everything up to 11” approach of story and style. Which is appropriate for Wolverine at the time. When Kubert’s work is moved to more central X-books, it’s kind of tightened up a bit, but this wildness is very appropriate for the time. future nose-less Logan aside.
