It’s been mentioned that Strong Guy joined XFactor for the money. Do we ever get a sense of how much the going rate for a member of a super team is? I know that the traditional answer for where the X-Men’s funding comes from is the fortunes of wealthy members (Xavier, Warren, Emma, etc), but what about teams like XFactor? How much money does it actually take to convince someone to join a team like this? Obviously the answer depends on the character’s identity as a hero, commitment to a cause, and history with their teammates, but it seems there should be some sort of market rate.
Googling hasn’t helped much since creators typically keep things vague enough to avoid giving a concrete answer to this question, but there’s got to be something out there to give clues.
