NOTE: Normally the visual companion is annotated; but frankly, I don’t have it in me to be witty about Wolverine today. Sorry. -Jay

O’Donnell and the Princess bar are references to Modesty Blaise. Written by Peter O’Donnell, the series features Modesty’s sidekick, Willie Garvin, who runs the bar The Treadmill, and refers to Modesty as “Princess”. Claremont had previously “borrowed” Modesty’s backstory for Storm’s childhood.
The books are worth reading, if a little dated. The movie, not so much.
